Magical Winter Lights hosted a VIP Night on December 3, 2015 to thank our sponsors, community partners, and media for their contributions to making Magical Winter Lights a new holiday tradition in Houston. The festival staff decorated our VIP tent with hundreds of handmade lanterns. MWL staff also provided as much assistance as needed for our guests to help them experience MWL festival at its best. After having a small walk through beautiful sets of larger-than-life lanterns, guests were able to enjoy a variety of cultural dishes that were prepared with the international theme that defines Magical Winter Lights.

 

After sampling some of the great food, our guests were then directed to the stage to watch the young talented acrobatic group perform traditional Chinese acrobatic shows. KHOU Anchor woman, Shern-min Chow, welcomed everyone to Magical Winter Lights and introduced Yusi An, founder of Magical Winter Lights, before she gave a heartfelt speech to thank everyone that had supported the idea that became Magical Winter Lights.

The VIP night was a chance for all of our supporters as well as the lucky festival patrons to learn more about Magical Winter Lights from the event organizers. Even though the weather was getting colder in mid December, it didn’t stop our guests from enjoying a whole night of cultural entertainment. Thank you everyone for coming out!
