How much are tickets to the festival?

Ticket prices can be found here.

What are Magical Winter Lights operating hours?

MWL runs 7 days a week from Nov. 18, 2016 – Jan. 08, 2017.

The festival hours are:

Monday – Thursday: 5:00PM – 10:00PM

Friday – Sunday: 3:00PM – 11:00PM

The lanterns will be turned on daily at 5:00PM.

*Please note: Box office will close one hour before closing on each day.

Is Magical Winter Lights open during the holidays?

Yes, MWL is open from November 18, 2016 – January 8, 2017.

This includes: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

What is the difference between a "Value Night" ticket and a "Weekend" ticket?

A “Value Night” ticket will be valid from Monday – Thursday, with the exception of Christmas week (Dec. 19 – Dec. 25).

A “Weekend” ticket will be valid from Friday – Sunday, and Christmas week (Dec. 19 – Dec. 25).

Do I need to print my tickets if purchased online?

No, printing your tickets is not necessary. E-tickets may be scanned through your cell phone at the festival entrance.

What if I purchased carnival ride wristbands online?

If you purchased carnival ride wristbands online, the e-tickets will need to be exchanged for wristbands inside the festival, at the carnival booth.

*The above also applies to carnival ride wristbands purchased at Walgreens

What if I purchased my tickets through Walgreens?

Value Night and Weekend Night does not apply to our Walgreen’s tickets. Tickets purchased through Walgreens are valid on any day you choose to attend Magical Winter Lights.

Please note: Walgreen’s tickets are valid upon entry and do not need to be redeemed at the box office. *

*Carnival ride tickets purchased through Walgreens WILL need to be redeemed for a wristband at the carnival booth inside the festival.  

How much is parking?

The parking fee is $5.00 and may be purchased online or on-site.

*Please note that the parking fee on-site is CASH ONLY

Where can I find information for guests with disabilities?

Unfortunately, we do not have wheelchairs to provide to patrons. The lantern festival is on a concrete, paved walking path. Therefore, you are more than welcome to bring standard wheelchairs or handicap scooters for guests in need of assistance. Below is a list of rental companies our guests have used in the past:

What can I bring to the festival?

Allowable items include:

Personal cameras, tripods, blankets, strollers, wagons, wheelchairs/scooters, large bags/diaper bags.

*All items are subject to search.

What items are not allowed into the festival?

Prohibited items: Laser Pointers, Spike Jewelry, Bootleg Merchandise, Cans, Bottles, Containers of any kind, Weapons (including pocket knives), Coolers, Obscene or Indecent Clothing, Outside Food & Beverage, Animals (excluding service animals), Pop Up Tents, Playpens,  Cigarettes, Chewing Tobacco, Illegal Substances, Bikes, Roller Skates, Skateboards, Shoes with Wheels, are not allowed into Magical Winter Lights.

Are dogs allowed at the festival?

Animals will not be allowed at Magical Winter Lights, with the exception of service animals.

Will the festival close due to bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, we strongly encourage our visitors to follow our updates via our website and social media. Any updates and/or cancellation announcements will be made through these platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and www.magicalwinterlights.com.

If the festival does not open the day you purchased your ticket for, your tickets are valid any date during the festival. You will not need to exchange your tickets for tickets with another date.

Visitors of MWL that are onsite before weather closure will be able to pick up rain check tickets at the ticket counter to enjoy our festival on another day.

 

Magical Winter Lights Rain Check Policy:

Magical Winter Lights will remain open during rainy weather. In the event that the rain poses a threat to the safety of our patrons, we will close the festival. If the forecast predicts rain on the date you are planning to attend, please monitor our website and social media platforms for closure notifications.

 

We would encourage everyone to come when the weather is nice and dry so that our festival can be experienced at its best! Tickets to MWL are valid on any date during the festival.

Can I use my ticket for any day of the festival?

Yes, depending on which ticket you purchased.

A “Value Night” ticket will be valid any day from Monday – Thursday, with the exception of weekends and Christmas week.

A “Weekend” ticket will be valid for any day from Friday – Sunday, and Christmas week.

What is included in the admission price?

Admission to the festival includes live performances, appearances from holiday characters (if they are scheduled on the date you visit – check their schedule on our website here), and entry to the carnival.

What is not included in the ticket price?

Admission to MWL does not include carnival rides/games, food, souvenirs, professional photographs, or commercial vendor shops.

Is there a ticket exchange/refund policy?

There will be no refund or exchanges for tickets already purchased.

Can I buy tickets at the entrance?

Yes, tickets will be sold at the box office near the main entrance.

Can I bring outside food/drink into the festival?

No outside food or drinks will be allowed into the festival.

MWL will have a food court with food and drinks available for purchase.

Will there be alcohol beverages available at the festival?

Yes, beer and wine will be available for purchase at the festival.

Is the festival non-smoking?

Yes, Magical Winter lights is a non-smoking event.

Will MWL have automatic tellers (ATMs)?

Yes, automatic tellers (ATMs) will be available inside the festival.

Will there be a lost and found?

An information booth will be set-up to assist our visitors on-site.

If an item is lost, you may email info@magicalwinterlights.com. Please be sure to enter “Lost Item” as the email subject line and write a brief description of your belonging(s).

Remember that not all items are turned in, but we’ll do our best to match belongings and contact you if we found it!

If I misplace my ticket, what do I do?

If a visitor misplaces a ticket, they can resolve this at ticket resolution before entering MWL.

What if my tickets are stolen?

This issue can be resolved at ticket resolution before entering Magical Winter Lights.

How long will it take to walk through the festival?

It will take approximately 1.5 hours to walk through the lantern exhibits and to catch a Chinese acrobatic performance.

We recommend carving out about 3 hours of your day since Magical Winter Lights also offers other entertainment like a full-service carnival, musical performances, vendor shops, a food court and more!
